Ukrainian Su-27 military aircraft use low-flying tactics to avoid Russian air defense systems and successfully attack important targets. With this tactic, they achieve stealth against enemy radars.
The Su-27s are equipped with American GBU-39 bombs with retractable wings and GPS guidance, which have a range of over 95 kilometers. These bombs are used to target strategically important objects such as bridges and command points.
Due to a limited number of munitions, the Ukrainian aviation is focused on higher-priority targets. At the same Time, the Russian army, having more munitions, is shelling trenches and objects on the front line.
'This method - to fly low, climb up, drop bombs, and break away - minimizes the impact of enemy fire on the aircraft and does not limit the bomb's range,' Forbes noted.
French President Emmanuel Macron called for providing Ukraine with strong security guarantees.
