The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted strongly to new statements from Hungary about 'peace in Ukraine'.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine firmly condemns the new statements of Hungarian officials regarding the ability to stop the war in Ukraine.
The agency emphasizes that such claims are unfounded, as the bombardment of Ukrainian cities with missiles and drones continues following Hungary's 'peacekeeping' contacts with Moscow.
The MFA's statement stresses that Hungary's actions contradict its declared peacekeeping intentions. The Hungarian side blocks the provision of weapons to Ukraine for self-defense, hinders the funding of defense needs, and supports the easing of sanctions against Russia.
Ukraine calls on Hungary to stop manipulating the themes of peace and Christmas, as well as to refrain from unilateral contacts with Russia that harm joint efforts to restore peace.
The MFA emphasizes that the only obstacle to peace remains Russia and its leadership. Ukraine will continue constructive cooperation with partners who sincerely seek to end the war, adhering to the principles of honest dialogue and mutual respect.
Earlier, the MFA responded to the President of Slovakia regarding territorial concessions by Ukraine.
