Explosions in Saint Petersburg
On Saturday morning, October 19, around 7:00, explosions occurred in Saint Petersburg.
This is reported by Russian media. Local residents reported a drone attack, but it is believed that a drone was shot down.
"On October 19, a drone was shot down in Saint Petersburg. According to the provided information, the UAV was shot down by air defense forces. There is no threat to the population," notes the publication Fontanka.
Videos of the explosion moments were uploaded to the network. In addition, residents report power outages in the Vyborgsky and Primorsky districts of Petersburg.
The railway line stopped due to a lack of electricity. The energy company reported a technological disruption on the 110 kV equipment. Furthermore, over 300 buildings in the Primorsky district have been without power for more than two hours.
The local authorities are still silent about the cause of the explosions and power outages.
