Shmyhal talked about how much money Ukraine spent on protecting the energy system.

The Ukrainian government allocated over 10 billion UAH to strengthen the protection of the energy system from shelling. This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
During a briefing, Shmyhal showed a damaged energy facility in Zaporizhzhia that was affected by the enemy's attack.
«The energy infrastructure is constantly under fire from Russia, especially frontline regions suffer the most. We are implementing projects to build protective systems around energy facilities to reduce damage. This is a priority task for each region», he stated.
Let us remind you that on Christmas Day an attack was made on Ukraine's energy system by the Russian army. Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions endured this strike. The main goal is to deprive the population of Ukraine of heat, water, and light.
DTEK thermal power plants were attacked by the enemy. As a result of the Russian attack, the energy equipment was severely damaged. Moreover, due to a missile strike by the Russian Federation on energy facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region, one person was killed.
The restoration of heating supply was conducted in some regions of Ukraine after the missile attack on December 25.
