For North Korea's participation in the war against Ukraine, Russia may "pay" in the form of nuclear weapons technology, stated South Korea's permanent representative to the UN, Hwang Joon-kook.
"For the participation of its units, North Korea will expect generous compensation from Moscow. This may involve financial and military assistance. These could also be technologies related to nuclear weapons," said Hwang during a speech at the UN Security Council, as reported by Ukrinform.
According to Hwang, North Korea could become an "active participant" in Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine in the near future.
Hwang urged Russia to immediately withdraw its troops from Ukraine and reminded that long-term peace in Ukraine is possible only in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.
