Vegetables have noticeably risen in price: what is happening with the prices of cucumbers and tomatoes in supermarkets and markets.

According to "Hvylya", this is evidenced by the data of the Minfin portal, the Capital Market, and the Odessa market "Pochatok".
The prices of popular vegetables in October have noticeably increased. Autumn is coming to an end, and on the eve of winter, the cost of cucumbers and tomatoes traditionally becomes higher. At the same Time, it should be taken into account that their prices in supermarkets and markets may differ. Let's show how much they cost as of October 17.
Supermarkets
Here, you can buy a kilogram of cucumbers for 82.99 UAH, which is much higher than last month – 66.37 UAH/kg. Note that there are also smooth cucumbers priced at 94.10 UAH/kg, long-fruited – 89.99 UAH/kg, and prickly – 89.99 UAH/kg. Tomato prices are even higher depending on the type – 84.93 UAH per kilo. For pink ones, you'll have to pay 99.90 UAH/kg. And a kilogram of top tomatoes is sold for 75.43 UAH.
Prices at the Capital Market
Note that at the market, you can observe slightly lower prices. The price tag for cucumbers ranges from 70 UAH/kg to 80 UAH/kg.
Regarding red tomatoes, their cost starts from 55.00 UAH/kg and reaches 70 UAH/kg. The minimum price for pink tomatoes is set at 80 UAH/kg, while the maximum reaches 100.00 UAH/kg. You can also find tomatoes on the market – from 30.00 UAH/kg to 40.00 UAH/kg. The most expensive are yellow tomatoes – from 90.00 UAH/kg to 115.00 UAH/kg.
Prices at Odessa market "Pochatok"
In Odessa, the situation is somewhat different. In particular, the wholesale price of Ukrainian cucumbers ranges from 60 to 65 UAH per kilo. The maximum reaches 90 UAH per kilo.
Field red tomatoes can be purchased at a minimum price of 18 to 20 UAH per kilo. Cherry tomatoes wholesale can be purchased for 120 UAH per kilo. The price tag for yellow ones ranges from 45 to 90 UAH per kilo.
