A court hearing took place in Kharkiv against a woman who set fire to someone else's property, thereby committing sabotage. For this act, she faces a severe penalty.
Case Details
According to the case documents, the accused set fire to a car for money on the night of March 29, 2025. She filmed the arson, sent the video via Telegram to the contractor, and received 700 dollars for it. As a result, not only this car burned, but also another car that was parked nearby.
On the same evening, April 8, the woman committed another arson attack - this Time she ignited the relay of a traffic light at the "Kharkiv-Slobidsky-Balashivka" railway station. For this act, she received 400 dollars.
Court Verdict
The Slobidsky District Court in Kharkiv found the woman guilty of committing multiple offenses and sentenced her to 15 years in prison. In addition to imprisonment, the accused was ordered to compensate the owner of the car damaged by the arson for material damages amounting to 187,000 Hryvnias.
