Kyslytsia revealed previously unknown statements by Russians during negotiations in Istanbul.

The Russian delegation uses threats and immoral statements during negotiations in Istanbul
During negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul, the Russian side makes threats and brings up immoral statements. Serhiy Kyslytsia, the first deputy foreign minister and a member of the Ukrainian delegation, confirmed that the Russians make 'long pseudo-historical excursions' in which they demand that Ukraine cede territories, even speaking about the loss of more regions.
«The amount of trash, threats, cynicism, and immoral statements was coming in a continuous stream... In essence, the other side is denying your existence as a nation,» Kyslytsia said.
It was emphasized that the Russians demanded the absence of U.S. representatives at the negotiations, claiming that otherwise they would not have a mandate to participate and are trying to exclude Americans from the peace process.
Ukraine is ready to listen to Russia's proposals for peace
The President of Ukraine stated that the country is ready to consider a possible memorandum to normalize the situation and achieve peace. However, it is necessary to obtain the detailed terms of the memorandum and maintain Ukraine's national interests and sovereignty.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha believes that Russia's strategy in the negotiations is aimed at removing the U.S. from the process, which could complicate achieving peace and stability in the region. The Ukrainian delegation, led by Rustem Umerov, stood firm during negotiations with the Russians, not succumbing to provocations and skillfully defending national interests.
