An accident occurred on the 'Kavkasioni' power line in Georgia, leading to power supply issues in Tbilisi and across the country. This was reported by 'Glavkom'. According to the 'Georgian Electricity System', power supply is gradually being restored, but the cause of the accident is currently unknown.

Due to the accident, the operation of the first metro line in Tbilisi was halted, which will resume after the power supply is restored. Additionally, the energy system of Abkhazia was also disrupted due to the accident. The resumption of electricity delivery is planned for the second half of the day, reported by the Tbilisi Electricity Distribution Company Telasi.

This is already the second major blackout that has occurred in Georgia recently. The previous one happened in April of this year.

It was also reported that the duration of visa-free stay for Ukrainian citizens in Georgia has been reduced. Amendments to the government decree were made by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and took effect on June 5, 2015. Ukrainians are now allowed to stay in Georgia without a visa for one year, instead of three years as before.
