The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky actively discussed cooperation with Turkey during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart today. He expressed his gratitude for the support in the matter of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Zelensky thanked Erdogan and all of Turkey 'for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state.'
Peace - an important step
During the conversation, they discussed the possibility of a meeting in Istanbul and holding a four-way summit. Zelensky emphasized the importance of stopping the killings and expressed gratitude to Turkey for its positive contribution to achieving peace.
It was noted that Russian politicians are not ready for a constructive dialogue at the upcoming meeting of Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul on June 2. It is expected that the memorandum from Russia will remain unchanged.
