IDPs will be able to receive a rental subsidy: how the amount of assistance will be calculated.

The Ministry of Social Policy has developed a rental subsidy for internally displaced persons
The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has created a new support tool for internally displaced persons (IDPs) - a rental subsidy. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy on the social network Facebook.
"Losing everything in an instant and, regardless of your choice, moving to another city - such are the realities faced by Ukrainians who have experienced the devastating impact of war," the message reads.
The problem of finding housing remains the most painful for hundreds of thousands of displaced people in Ukraine. Some of them live in specially equipped modular towns or dormitories, while others find shelter with relatives and friends.
The Ministry of Social Policy has developed a new support tool for internally displaced persons. A pilot project is planned to be implemented over two years.
The amount of the subsidy takes into account the cost of rent in a specific region or locality. Rental prices vary significantly in different cities of Ukraine. For example, housing prices in Kyiv are 22% higher compared to the average prices across the country, in Zakarpattia the price is 2.5 times higher, and in Mykolaiv it is 30-35% lower.
The lowest housing prices are observed in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions.
In addition, the amount of the subsidy will depend on the number of people in the family renting the housing, the family's income, and their ability to pay the rent bills.
The Ministry expects that after the Government's decision is approved, internally displaced persons will be able to use the new support tool starting in June.
To obtain a rental subsidy in 2024, it is necessary to additionally pay attention to the required documents, which were mentioned earlier.
