Ukrainian troops raised the flag in the center of the village of New York in the Donetsk region (video).


Soldiers of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 53rd brigade raised the flag of the 53rd brigade on a large elevator in the village of New York in the Donetsk region. The brigade released the corresponding video on Instagram.
“New York, the large elevator that rises above the battlefield, is a symbol of resilience. And it is there, despite constant shelling, that the flag of the 53rd brigade proudly waves, which was hoisted by the warriors of the 2nd mechanized battalion under the heavy fire of artillery, Russian FPV,” the brigade emphasized.

“This video leaves no doubt: New York is ours, and it withstood thanks only to the heroism of the 53rd brigade. Every position was defended with desperate courage, every warrior fought to the last breath. The enemy could not break our spirit. Every attempt to capture the village is shattered by the unwavering determination of our soldiers. The flag that proudly waves on the elevator is a symbol of our victory over death, fear, and the enemy,” said the 53rd Brigade.
Soldiers of the 12th Separate Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" have returned part of the village of New York on the Donetsk front under their control and deblocked the surrounded Ukrainian troops.
