Ukrainian dairy products conquer foreign markets: export analysis for August.

Ukraine increased dairy product exports
In August, Ukraine increased exports of dairy products, particularly butter, despite the reduction in milk yield volumes. According to preliminary data, the export volume increased by 10% compared to the previous month and by 13% compared to the previous year. The value of exports also increased by 13% and 19% respectively.
The main export categories of dairy products were condensed milk and cream, butter, ice cream, and cheese. The natural volumes of milk and cream exports in August increased by 18% compared to the previous year but decreased by 8% compared to last year. The main buyers of Ukrainian dairy products were Moldova, Armenia, and Georgia.
Overall, Ukraine increased its export volume of dairy products for 8 months of this year by 10% compared to the previous year, and foreign currency earnings grew by 8%. The external trade balance for dairy products turned out to be positive, with Ukraine earning $3.19 million more than it spent on imports.
Milk prices are rising
The global demand for dairy products is increasing, and commodity exchange prices are also rising. This positively affects Ukraine's exports but leads to higher milk prices in the country. Ukrainian companies are actively using this demand and increasing the export volumes of dairy products. We hope this will help improve the situation in the dairy market in Ukraine.
