A bridge collapsed in the Bryansk region during the passage of a passenger train, resulting in casualties and injuries.

In the Bryansk region of Russia, a bridge with vehicles collapsed. During the incident, the passenger train Moscow – Klymovо was passing three kilometers from the village of Vygonichi due to explosive devices on the supports and sleepers. Rescuers are evacuating people as another span of the bridge may collapse.

At the scene, cries and pleas for help are heard, and eyewitnesses are pulling the injured out of the carriage through the windows. According to Russian media reports, the most serious injuries were sustained by passengers in one carriage that was at the epicenter of the explosion. Rescuers have to cut damaged parts of the structures to reach the injured and the bodies of the deceased.

According to reports, four people were killed, and more than forty injured sought medical help, including two in critical condition. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that the incident occurred on the federal highway A240, affecting both vehicles and the passenger train. On the night of May 29, a fire broke out at the 'Avangard' factory in Saint Petersburg, which manufactures radio electronics and microcircuits. The fire started on the fifth floor of the plant but was localized and extinguished. The fire is extinguished, but the causes of the fire are currently unknown. It is noted that the 'Avangard' plant produces electronics, including sensors, power electronics, and elevator equipment, and is one of the oldest enterprises in the city. During the bridge collapse in the Bryansk region, four people died, and over 40 were injured.
