May Winter in Ukraine: Snow and Frost in the Mountains.

Unusual May Weather in the Carpathians
Bad weather unexpectedly returned to the highlands of the Carpathians. On a popular tourist route in the area of the Zaroslyak tract in Bukovina, snow fell, covering the mountain slopes with a winter blanket. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region published a video of the snowy landscapes. In the footage, thick snow can be seen covering trees and the ground, creating an unusual landscape for the month of May.
According to reports from the Chornohora mountain search and rescue post, cloudy weather, fog, and limited visibility are observed on Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi. The wind reaches 10-12 m/s from the eastern and northeastern directions. The air temperature dropped to minus 7°.

Rescuers urge tourists and residents of mountain areas to be especially cautious, taking into account the difficult weather conditions and refraining from hiking in the highlands.
Valeriy Polyanchuk, head of the Selyatin community, who lives in the village of Verkhnij Yalovets, published photos of the snowy nature.
“Good morning! We have a morning with wet snow and a zero temperature,” he wrote.
Anomalous weather for May was highlighted by teacher Mariya Karpovets from the Samakivska gymnasium in Bukovina.
Beautiful late snow fell,
On the buds that have just bloomed.
Water dripped from the warm roofs,
Everything got mixed up in the world.
It should be noted that meteorologists forecast cloudy weather with clearings for May 9 in Ukraine.
The temperature at night was 2-7° above zero (in the northwestern part, there were frosts on the surface of the soil of 0-5°), during the day 8-13° above zero, in the east and southeast of the country at night 5-10°, during the day 13-18°. In the highlands of the Carpathians at night, rain and wet snow, during the day without precipitation, the temperature at night 0-5° of frost, during the day 1-6° above zero.
The anomalous weather in the Carpathians may be a consequence of climate change, which is already being felt worldwide. Snow in May is indeed an unusual phenomenon that needs to be studied and analyzed carefully.
