USA to Announce New Military Aid Package for Ukraine - AP.


The administration of US President Joe Biden will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 125 million dollars.
The official announcement may take place as early as today, August 23, on the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day, reports the Associated Press.
According to official US sources, the latest aid package includes:
air defense missiles;
ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
ammunition for Javelin and a number of other anti-tank missiles;
systems and equipment for combating drones;
electronic warfare (EW) means;
artillery ammunition of 155-mm and 105-mm caliber;
vehicles and other equipment.
It is noted that the weapons are provided under the president's authority for arms reduction, meaning they are taken from Pentagon stocks and can be delivered faster.
