Russian-Belarusian exercises in autumn will simulate confrontation with the West - intelligence.

Preparation for confrontation
The Foreign Intelligence Service reported on the conduct of exercises by Russia and Belarus, during which a confrontation between two coalitions - Russia and Western countries - will be simulated. The head of the intelligence agency, Oleg Ivashchenko, stated this.
'We possess all the necessary information regarding these exercises. Russia has already sent about 40 invitations to military representatives of other countries. They want to turn this into an international event,' he emphasized.
Oleg Ivashchenko noted that during the exercises, a situation simulating the confrontation between two coalitions - one led by Russia and the other conditionally called 'the West' - will be created.
Strategic scenarios
'I remember 2015... Since then, literally every exercise of Russia and Belarus has been about establishing control over the Suwalki Corridor. These are not fantasies, but part of their strategic scenarios. They always consider the option that Kaliningrad is under threat, that NATO may take control of the region, or that some 'color revolution' may occur in Belarus. And then Russia 'comes to help' - deploys troops,' Ivashchenko explained.
The head of the intelligence agency emphasized that for this, the Russians had prepared the 1st Tank Army and the 20th Combined Arms Army. According to him, there is a threat to the Baltic countries due to a possible attack on the Suwalki Corridor.
Given this information, it becomes clear that tensions in relations between states are on the rise, and such exercises contribute to increased tension and readiness for possible conflicts. It is important to closely monitor the development of the situation and seek peaceful means of resolving conflicts.
