Pompeii to introduce tourist limit: tickets will now be personalized.

Archaeological park 'Pompeii' imposes visitor limit
Starting from November 15 next year, new rules will be in place at the archaeological park 'Pompeii' to limit the number of people who can be here at the same Time.
Currently, the park can accommodate up to 20 thousand visitors. This decision was made due to the significant number of tourists, which reached a historic record. The park has already been visited by almost 4 million people, with the highest - over 36 thousand - on a Sunday. The main goal now is to reduce the load on this site.
We are working on several projects aimed at reducing the load on the site, as it is becoming dangerous for both tourists and the unique and vulnerable cultural heritage,
stated park director Gabriel Zuchtrigel.
The last eruption of the Vesuvius volcano occurred in 1944 and caused serious damage. During the archaeological excavations, the remains of three people who died during the eruption of the volcano in 79 AD were found. Scientists report that these are the skeletons of two adult women and a child aged 3 to 4 years. The remains were found under the rubble of a house where they sought shelter.
