Poland introduces new conditions for the employment of foreigners.

Yesterday, the migration package discussing the employment of foreigners in Poland was reviewed at a session of the Polish Sejm, reports inPoland.
One of the main issues under discussion is the provision for the mandatory employment of foreigners based on a work contract (umowę o pracę), but officials decided to remove this clause from the final version of the bill after outrage from employers. Now, agencies for temporary employment will be responsible for employing foreigners under labor contracts.
Experts believe that the obligation to employ foreigners solely based on a work contract does not take into account the needs of the labor market.
Electronic procedures for obtaining work permits
One of the important innovations is the complete electronification of the procedures for obtaining work permits and declarations (zezwolenie na pracę i oświadczenie o powierzeniu pracy), as well as the introduction of a priority list for entrepreneurs whose applications will be considered first. This will expedite the processing of applications for work permits.
Strengthening penalties for employers
The bill also envisions strengthening penalties for employers for the illegal employment of foreigners. After these changes come into effect, the fine for such violations will increase from 3,000 to 50,000 zlotys (currently it ranges from 1,000 to 30,000 zlotys).
It should be noted that the political party 'Law and Justice' submitted amendments to the Sejm regarding the limitation of the Social Insurance Administration (ZUS) program, which provides a payment of 800 zlotys for each child.
