Poland: without payments under the 800 Plus program

As of June 1, 2025, new rules for the social program 800 Plus will take effect in Poland, introducing stricter requirements for families with children. According to information received from the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy, the main changes concern the mandatory confirmation that the child is studying in a Polish school in order to receive payments. This applies not only to the 800 Plus program but also to the 'Good Start' program. Financial support will be received only by those families whose children are enrolled in the Polish education system.

These changes will have the greatest impact on Ukrainian citizens, as during the first half of 2024, most Ukrainian children benefited from the 800 Plus program in Poland.

Therefore, a significant number of families may lose their right to assistance. The ministry explains that this decision was made to ensure the effective use of funds and to promote integration into Polish society.

Furthermore, the text indicates that the application period for the program has already ended, but applications submitted in May will still be eligible for payments with compensation for June and July.

It is also noted that Sweden has also tightened the rules for social assistance for Ukrainians in 2025.
