The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has reported that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the draft Grant Agreement between Ukraine and Italy under the program 'Restoration and Preservation of Cultural Heritage of the Odesa Region', which will be signed during the Ukraine Recovery Conference-2025, taking place today in Rome.
What the Money Will Be Used For
The total amount of grants will be allocated as follows: 27.5 million euros will be spent on the restoration of architectural monuments in Odesa, including the Odesa Philharmonic, Potocki Palace, Abaza Palace (Museum of Western and Eastern Art), and the Literature Museum. There will also be modernization of the Tatarbunary and Kiliya irrigation systems in the Odesa region, which is very important in the context of climate change and drought. An additional 6.1 million euros will be allocated for these targeted areas.
This initiative complements recently announced grants for mead makers and winemakers of Odesa, highlighting the importance of investments in cultural and infrastructure projects to support regional development.
