Fuel sales in Ukraine have fallen: what is the situation in the regions.

Fuel sales in Ukraine are decreasing, reports the industry publication enkorr. According to data, in March 2025, fuel sales volumes at gas stations decreased by 8% to 604.2 million liters. A decrease is also observed in quarterly indicators. However, the total value of fuel sold increased by 8% compared to February 2025 and has remained almost unchanged compared to March 2024.
In total, 1.71 billion liters of fuel were sold in the first quarter of 2025 for a sum of 87.7 billion hryvnias, which is 3% more than in the same period last year.
Growth in fuel sales recorded in Chernihiv region
The largest growth in fuel sales was recorded in the Chernihiv region, where volumes increased by 14% to 26 million liters. Vinnytsia and Volyn regions also showed growth of 13% with volumes of 27.2 million and nearly 23 million liters, respectively.
In terms of total fuel sales volume, the leaders were Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Lviv region. These three regions account for 38% of all fuel sales in the country.
In Kyiv, the fuel sales volume increased by 6% to 64 million liters, and the monetary revenue amounted to 3.37 billion hryvnias.
Analyzing the material, one can conclude that although the volumes of fuel sales are decreasing, the value of the fuel sold is increasing. This may indicate an increase in fuel prices at gas stations. The Chernihiv region is also highlighted, where there is significant growth in fuel sales. The largest volumes of fuel sales are in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Lviv regions, indicating significant activity of road transport in these areas.
