Language scandal. Composer supports Kadochnikova who fled from Ukraine.

Ukrainian composer Volodymyr Bystryakov was reminded of his anti-Ukrainian position. He supported actress Larysa Kadochnikova in connection with recent events.
Kadochnikova stated at the film award ceremony that she only performs in Ukrainian in the theater. The actress addressed the audience in Russian, assuring them that she can speak English.
Bystryakov noted that Kadochnikova «defended her language and culture with dignity».
The composer wrote that it is easy to advocate for a position when you are outside Ukraine, but the real test is to calmly and reasonably defend your language and culture in the very center of the language conflict.
The composer acknowledges that such a position costs dearly, but he pays tribute to Kadochnikova for her truth and confidence.
Bystryakov previously ended up in the database of the «Myrotvorets» center due to his support for Russian aggression in Ukraine and scandalous statements about foreigners.
In addition, he called Ukrainians «idiots» on television in January 2019.
Kadochnikova refused to perform in Ukrainian at the filmmakers' award. She noted that she only performs in Ukrainian in the theater, while on stage she performs in Russian. The actress urged Ukrainians to love one another and understand that Ukraine is one.

Kadochnikova still holds the title of «People's Artist of Russia». She believes this is not a problem since she received this award for her many years of work in Russian theater and various films.
