US Tariffs Against China: Trump to Talk with Xi Jinping.

US President Donald Trump stated that his administration intends to hold talks with China to delay the 10% tariffs, increasing the likelihood of their implementation.
According to RBC-Ukraine citing Bloomberg, the tariffs are expected to take effect soon after Trump delayed the imposition of tariffs against Canada and Mexico.
Talks with China
US President Donald Trump announced that talks with China will take place 'probably within the next 24 hours'.
'If we cannot reach an agreement with China, then tariffs will be very, very important,' he noted.
Last weekend, Trump announced that the tariff on goods from China will begin at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday (Kyiv Time).
Later, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt stated to Fox News that Trump intends to discuss with Chinese leader Xi Jinping the issue of 'illegal Chinese fentanyl, which annually causes the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans.'
'The President has made it clear to China that this situation is unacceptable. And I will note that many of President Trump's tariffs from his first term are still in effect,' she emphasized.
According to Bloomberg, US focus has shifted to China after reaching an agreement with Mexico and Canada to delay the introduction of a 25% tariff in exchange for tougher measures in the fight against illegal immigration and drug trafficking at the border.
