The Kremlin Manipulates the Ceasefire Theme, - Report
The Institute for the Study of War reported active attempts by the Kremlin to play the ceasefire theme to divide Ukraine and its Western allies. Experts see the actions of the Russian leadership as a targeted information campaign aimed at influencing the Trump administration and Western society.
The report notes that Putin will try to draw mainstream media into his narratives, attempting to present Ukraine's surrender conditions as peace treaty conditions. Analyses demonstrate that the Russian leadership actively promotes its interests in Western countries through cunning information policies.
The Kremlin seeks to create the impression that Russia is capable of completely conquering Ukraine, intimidating Ukrainian leadership and Western partners to persuade them to accept Russian conditions - analysts at ISW emphasize.
To support its actions, Russia actively resorts to military operations and suppresses all peace proposals that do not meet its demands. Experts point out that Putin's rhetoric is aimed at emphasizing the importance of military goals, despite the absence of significant victories on the front in the last two years.
Supporting the proposed facts, specialists warn about attempts by Russia to exploit the situation regarding the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine to undermine the agreed position on this issue.
