Israel struck the capital of Syria: among the dead is a famous TV presenter.


On the night of October 1, the Israeli army struck Damascus in Syria. As a result, three people died, including a famous local TV presenter. CNN reports this with reference to Syrian media.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense stated that Israel attacked Damascus using drones and planes at approximately two o'clock local Time from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights. It is noted that Syrian air defense shot down most of the targets, but as a result of the attack, three civilians died, and nine were injured.
Videos on social media show that the explosion occurred near the building of the Syrian telecommunications operator, west of the military airport of the city. The video also shows a car engulfed in flames after the explosion. It is currently unknown if this is where Ahmed and the others died.
Israeli military have not yet commented on this information.
Recall that on the night of October 1, Israel officially announced the start of a ground operation in Lebanon, focusing on the southern regions where Hezbollah military facilities are located.
The Israeli Defense Forces declared the area around three settlements on the border with Lebanon a closed military zone.
Earlier it was reported that as a result of massive Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, about 300 people died, and more than 1000 were injured.
