Over the past week, Russian military forces have increased the number of attacks on border positions in the Sumy region by 30%, reports the newspaper 'Glavkom', citing the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh.

In the last 7 days, the Russians have carried out 47 attacks on our positions. The main targets of the attacks are the settlements of Zhuravka and Basivka. However, our military is responding to the enemy and inflicting significant losses on them.

According to Artyukh, the activity of our aviation has significantly increased: 'This is very important for supporting the Security and Defense Forces and striking at the enemy's forces and assets.'

Russia continues shelling the border territory in the Sumy region and attacking civilian infrastructure facilities.

It was previously reported that the Russian Federation has launched a new stage of a massive offensive in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Currently, over 67,000 troops are stationed in the Kursk direction.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed that many attacks are happening at the border with Russia in the Sumy region.

It was also reported that the Russian army is preparing reserves for an offensive on the front in May.
