The General Staff responds to Putin's statement about the liberation of Kursk.

Representatives of the Russian high command announced the end of hostilities in the Kursk region, but in reality, this is not true. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, referring to 'Glavkom'.
The military operation of the Ukrainian forces in Kursk continues, although the situation is quite complicated. Ukrainian units hold their positions, carry out tasks, and conduct effective strikes against the enemy using various weapons, including active defense tactics, the General Staff's statement said.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian units repelled five enemy assaults, with another clash ongoing at the moment.
Ukrainian units are not threatened with encirclement, as confirmed by the General Staff.
Statements from the enemy leadership about the 'defeating' of our troops are merely propaganda schemes and attempts to portray their desires as reality. Our military continues active operations in certain areas of the Belgorod region of Russia, the General Staff noted.
Earlier, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Valery Gerasimov, informed President Putin about the successful 'liberation of the Kursk region'. According to him, all settlements in the region were 'liberated' from Ukrainian troops.
Currently, President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine and Russia are nearing the conclusion of a peace treaty, with most key provisions already agreed upon.
News analysis:

It also provides data on the successful defense of Ukrainian units and their active actions on the territory of the Belgorod region of Russia. It is noted that the statements of the Russian leadership are propagandistic and do not correspond to reality.
