Photographer Liberov received a French award for war correspondents.

Ukrainian photographer Kostyantyn Liberov received the prestigious French Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award, which honors war correspondents. This was reported by the press service of the award.
According to the audience's voting results, Liberov won in the "Photo" category for a series of images titled "War in Ukraine. Pain, despair, and hope." He also took second place in this category by the jury's choice.
The photographer called this victory a great honor and an important achievement that highlights Ukraine's struggle and shows the truth to the whole world.
Correspondents who took photos from the Gaza Strip were also honored at the award ceremony.
We remember that the once prosperous city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region turned into ruins due to constant shelling by Russian occupants. Photographers Kostyantyn and Vlada Liberov published shocking drone footage showing the scale of the destruction. The videos and photos reveal not a single intact building left in the city. The landscapes of Vovchansk remind one of scenes from apocalyptic films. Russian attacks destroyed residential buildings, infrastructure, and historical monuments.
