Former ZNPP employee: No nuclear power plant in the world has faced such a horror.

Former head of the operational unit of the Zaporizhzhia NPP Oleg Dudar believes that no other energy facility in the world has experienced such an extreme scenario as the ZNPP during the Russian invasion. He stated this in an interview with 'Glavkom'.
«I know our nuclear energy sector very well, I know the Ukrainian specialists, so I can say with all responsibility: there is currently no more experienced and professional personnel in the world than the staff of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, who are located in Ukraine, and the staff of other nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Because these people, these operators went through the terrible night of the station's capture, when the artillery fired on the nuclear units that were operational. They were hit directly!», – noted Oleg Dudar.
The specialist believes that no nuclear power plant in the world has faced such horror, and the actions of Ukrainian operators at the ZNPP have become an unprecedented feat that the world has never seen: 'They mastered the situation, performed many complex equipment switches, thanks to which the nuclear units were preserved. They saved the world from a nuclear disaster.'
Proposal from the US President
In particular, Dudar commented on the proposal of US President Donald Trump regarding possible 'American ownership' of Ukrainian nuclear power plants: 'If management occurs without the Russians, that is, if Russia leaves the Zaporizhzhia NPP and Enerhodar, this can definitely be a better outcome than what is happening now.'
Dudar summarized: 'Americans have nothing to teach Ukraine, we are capable of operating our units ourselves and teach them something as well.'
Also, the former head of the operational unit of the Zaporizhzhia NPP Oleg Dudar noted in an interview with 'Glavkom' that the Russians cannot start the Zaporizhzhia NPP they have captured, as they do not have the necessary knowledge or qualified personnel for this.
State of the Zaporizhzhia NPP
By the way, the Zaporizhzhia NPP is in an extremely vulnerable state: only one power line, a destroyed cooling tower, cooling issues, and degraded equipment after three years of occupation. This was warned by the former head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate Hryhorii Plachkov in an interview with 'Glavkom'.
Analyzing the information from Oleg Dudar and Hryhorii Plachkov, one can understand that the situation around the Zaporizhzhia NPP remains quite tense and requires appropriate measures to prevent a further crisis in the nuclear energy sector of Ukraine. Even after the area of the nuclear power plant has been cleared of hostile troops, the damage caused and threats to safety remain extremely serious.
