Expert explained why Russia attacks the Kursk region with guided bombs.

The Russian army has been attacking the Kursk region with guided bombs, using a "scorched earth" tactic. This tactic is characteristic of the Russian army regardless of the location of military operations.
This information was provided by military-political expert Dmitry Snegirev on the FREEDOM TV channel.
"According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reports, the Russian Federation is shelling populated areas of the Kursk region, which are within the control sphere of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, using guided bombs. This means that the Russian side is destroying populated areas with the intention of completely wiping them out. However, it is worth noting that not all civilians, citizens of the Russian Federation, have been evacuated from these territories. This means that the Russian Federation is deliberately attacking its own citizens on the territory of its own country," Snegirev noted.
He also pointed out that Russia is destroying not only the Kursk region but also the Belgorod region, where there is "uncontrolled destruction of explosive materials" - high-explosive bombs, such as FAB-500, FAB-1500, and even FAB-3000.
"According to the Russian side itself, 37 attacks were carried out on the territory of the Belgorod region, in which FABs were used. However, one of the last modifications of Russian FABs, namely FAB-3000, was dropped on one of the residential areas of the Belgorod region. As a result, one of the streets was completely destroyed," the analyst noted.
In this regard, Snegirev emphasized that it is impossible to talk about the selective nature of the Russian army's military actions on their own territory.
"The Russians are using a "scorched earth" tactic. This applies to Ukrainian cities such as Popasna, Soledar, Bakhmut, as well as Russian populated areas such as Korenevo, Sudzha. Therefore, it is very important for Russian citizens to take their safety issues seriously," commented the military expert.
