Gift Agreement in Ukraine: What You Should Know.


The Ministry of Justice explains that in a gift agreement, both ordinary individuals and companies, as well as the government, Crimea, and the local community can participate.
It is prohibited for parents (adoptive parents) and guardians to gift property of their children or wards.
Form and Conditions of the Gift Agreement
The gift agreement can be concluded orally, in writing, or in more complex cases, requires notarization, depending on the specifics of the gift.
It is very important to adhere to the terms of the agreement and fill out all necessary documents that confirm the legality of the agreement and the obligations of the parties.
The conclusion of a gift agreement between spouses and a third party regarding joint property is possible only when determining or allocating a share in kind according to the rules.
