Officials did not submit declarations on time - how the court punished them.

The Kovel District Court with the participation of prosecutors from the Kovel District Prosecutor's Office found two employees of the Western Interregional Office of State Labor found guilty of corruption offenses. They did not submit declarations on Time.

Case details

As established in court, one of the officials submitted the annual electronic declaration for 2023 without a valid reason after the deadline, violating the requirements of Article 45 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Prevention of Corruption'. The other employee similarly violated the declaration submission deadlines for 2021 and 2022, and also did not submit the declaration on time upon dismissal and after dismissal.

The protocols on administrative offenses related to corruption were drawn up by the police of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police in the Volyn region.

Court decision

The court found both officials guilty of violating the requirements of financial control under Part 1 of Article 172-6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and imposed an administrative penalty in the form of a fine. Both violators have already paid the imposed punishment.

Employees of the Western Interregional Office of State Labor were found guilty of corruption offenses due to late submission of declarations. The court established violations of financial control and imposed administrative fines, which have already been paid. In addition, other cases of violations of officials' financial activities had previously caused loud scandals in Ukraine.
