Ukraine has received financial assistance from Great Britain amounting to £752 million ($990 million) for the acquisition of air defense systems and artillery. This loan is part of an international lending program worth $50 billion. Such financial support is an important step for Ukraine in strengthening its defense capabilities. This is especially important in the context of global instability and aggression from Russia. British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves stated that the world is changing, and this is a response to such events. In October 2024, the G7 countries agreed on a plan to provide loans to Ukraine. Britain pledged to provide financial assistance of £4.5 billion, which will be used for the procurement of air defense systems, artillery, and spare parts for equipment. Providing financial support to Ukraine is also determined by the need to strengthen the country’s defense in the context of Russia's aggressive actions.
