Ukrainian pensioners living abroad are facing serious difficulties due to the new identification requirements introduced by the Pension Fund. According to the government resolution, pensioners who have been abroad for more than six months must undergo annual identification in digital format starting in 2025, otherwise their pension payments will be automatically suspended without warning. However, old Soviet passports are not suitable for such identification, making it difficult for pensioners to obtain the necessary documents in Time.Currently, there is no mechanism for restoring payments from previous periods in pension payments, which poses a serious threat to Ukrainian pensioners abroad. They find it difficult to obtain new documents for identification, and the process takes a lot of time, especially in some countries. As a result, pensioners are at risk of being left without pension payments.
