Ukrainians should call the residents of Zaporizhzhia 'zaporizhtsi', those of Kryvyi Rih 'kryvorizhtsi', and those of Kremenchuk 'kremenchuktsi'.

Philologist Olha Vasylyeva stated that the use of the term 'kremenchuzhany' is a Russian-speaking expression. She noted that the correct way to refer to the residents of Kremenchuk is 'kremenchuktsi' (he - 'kremenchukivets', she - 'kremenchukivka'). It is also correct to call the residents of Kryvyi Rih 'kryvorizhtsi' (he - 'kryvorizhets', she - 'kryvorizhka') and the residents of Zaporizhzhia 'zaporizhtsi' (he - 'zaporizhets', she - 'zaporizhka').

It is important to correctly name these cities in Ukrainian.

Correct usage of words and expressions

Olha Vasylyeva also explained that the most common mistakes among Ukrainians are the use of incorrect expressions and words, such as 'pidkazhit', 'zghodna z', 'vidpovidno do'. She clarified that people often mistakenly add the letter 's' to the word 'pidkazhit' and misuse phrases like 'zghodna z' or 'vidpovidno do' when they could simply say 'zghodna zakonu'.

Correct usage of terms

Olha Vasylyeva explained that it is better to correctly use the phrase 'Sector Gaza' instead of 'Sector Gazi'. According to her, the word 'sector' in this case is used with a capital letter as part of the toponym, and 'Gaza' should be declined.

Replacement of borrowed words

In some cases, borrowed words can be replaced, for example, 'feedback' with 'zvorotniy zv’yazok'. However, it is more challenging to find an adequate replacement for 'lifkhak'.
